I went to New York for the NPT Review conference lobby avtivity.
On May 3 we marched for
the nuclear free world. On the main street of NY, about 1600 people joined from Japan and appealed with outstanding sign boards and costumes. We were mixed with French activists and chanted in French together," Paix, justice et disarmamont!".
On May 1, there was a bombing accident on Times Square and a lot of police guarded strictly and it was impossible to gather in a big space. But we could communicate with a lot of people from the world.
At the last place Hammershold Plaza, nearly
7,000,000 signitures against A&H bombs and for the nuclear free world, were piled in boxes and the chairperson of NPT Mr. Dualte came to receive them from Japanese delegation in spite it was Sunday.
I hope our acitivity and these signitures will surely be effective for the NPT conference and for the world peace
.
